Miracle Laurie, born August 1, 1981, is a recurring actress on FOX’s Dollhouse (2009). She grew up in Huntington Beach, California and started hula dancing at the age of three, piano lessons at five and local theater by seven. She received her B.A. in drama from University of California, Irvine, and eventually moved to Los Angeles.

Miracle portrays Mellie, the neighbor, romantic interest, and confidante of Paul Ballard (Tahmoh Penikett). Laurie was originally cast as November, another active. Eventually, it was decided the character would not be included in the show. Joss Whedon has stated that “the show simply moves too fast now for me to do what I wanted with her.” In the sixth episode of the series, titled “Man on the Street”, it was revealed that there is more to Mellie than meets the eye…

Miracle has appeared in several plays and starred in two films, titled Opius and Roses. In 2004 she appeared in an episode of Medical Investigation. On top of this, the busy lady used to be a model for “IT” Model Management and plays in a ukulele cover band.
